Mountain View Emergency Shelter Society

Royal LePage® Wildrose 6th Annual Radiothon and Auction Fundraiser - 2026

Royal LePage® Wildrose Real Estate has previously organised and hosted 6 major fundraising events for the Mountain View Emergency Shelter Society (MVESS), since 2019.

The MVESS has operated as a registered charity for over a decade, running programmes and providing support to victims of family violence, across Mountain View County. Recently, construction was completed on their first Emergency Shelter building, which will provide a safe place to house adults and children needing refuge from family violence situations.
The new building has been named "Kirsten's Place" to honour the memory of a young local mother who tragically lost her life to family violence in 2021.

Royal LePage® Wildrose Real Estate's fundraisers, (held in support of the Royal LePage® Shelter FoundatioMountain View Emergency Shelter Logo n™), have donated 100% of the proceeds of their events to the construction of Kirsten's Place. To date over $405,000 has been contributed to the MVESS  through our previous 6 events, which have only happened  through the incredible support of the very generous communities of Mountain View County (and beyond).  This amount, added to donations from other sources has allowed the construction of "Kirsten's Place" to finally happen. As a result of these events, the community awarenss of the MVESS and the work that it does, has greatly increased across the region.

On May 6th 2026 we will be holding our 6th Annual Radiothon, on 96.5 The Ranch, along with a 3 day, online auction through Olds Auction Mart.  The Auction will commence at 9 am on May 4 th and will start to close at 7 p.m on  May 6th. After our 2025 event we were able to present a cheque for $33,895.25 to the Mountain View Emergency Shelter Society, towards operating costs of Kirsten's Place. Again this year we will be raising money to help keep Kirsten's Place open.

We will also be holding a Non-Perishables Food Drive for Kirsten's Place, during the Radiothon, to help restock their Pantry. Items can be dropped off at the Olds Office during the Radiothon on May 6th, or any time up until the end of May.

The following businesses are partnering with us in 2026 as hourly sponsors for our Radiothon and Auction:

We are so grateful for the continued committment and support from the communities of Mountain View County, and beyond, to this annual event.
